Jessica Lan, LMFT
Clinical Supervisor

About Jessica

Jessica Lan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive therapy with warmth, honesty, and compassion. As a first-generation Asian American therapist, Jessica is especially attuned to the cultural and generational complexities that shape identity and emotional health. She specializes in working with Asian and Asian American individuals navigating issues such as perfectionism, intergenerational tension, stress, burnout, and identity exploration.

Jessica creates a supportive space for clients to slow down, reflect, and engage in intentional self-growth. Her approach is grounded in empathy and

authenticity, offering both comfort and challenge as clients work through life transitions, emotional struggles, and cultural dynamics.

Therapeutic Approach

Jessica draws from strength-based and client-centered practices, meeting clients where they are while supporting them in moving toward meaningful change. She incorporates techniques from various modalities depending on each client's needs, always with a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive foundation. Her experience in community mental health, school-based counseling, and crisis intervention allows her to offer practical tools alongside deeper emotional exploration.

Jessica works primarily with young adults, business owners, healthcare professionals, therapists, and individuals new to therapy. Whether helping clients cope with overwhelming stress or reconnect with their values and identity, Jessica is committed to offering therapy that feels grounded, empowering, and relevant.

Supervision and Mentorship

In addition to her clinical work, Jessica serves as a supervisor for associate therapists at Leavitt Marriage and Family Therapy. She brings the same thoughtful, culturally sensitive approach to her supervision as she does to her client work. Jessica views supervision as a space for mutual learning, reflection, and growth. She’s passionate about supporting developing therapists in honing their clinical voice, deepening their confidence, and cultivating cultural humility. Her style is collaborative and empowering—encouraging autonomy while providing steady guidance and structure.

Jessica finds joy in witnessing the evolution of her supervisees, and she strives to create a supervisory relationship built on trust, curiosity, and professional integrity. For her, supervision is not just about clinical skill-building, but also about fostering resilience, reflective practice, and a sustainable, meaningful career in mental health.

Outside of Therapy

Jessica is a strong advocate for Asian mental health and is committed to challenging stigma and increasing access to care within marginalized communities. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys connecting with her culture, spending time in nature, and seeking out cozy corners to recharge with good food and quiet moments.
